Amber Cook is an experienced clinical and music therapist currently employed at Tanager Place since March 2012, specializing in therapy services for individuals and families dealing with trauma, developmental disabilities, Autism, anxiety, depression, and sensory processing disorders. Prior to this role, Amber provided music therapy sessions on an out-patient basis at Dr. Patricia McGuire's practice from June 2006 to February 2012 and presented workshops on music therapy and behavior. Amber began a career in education as a preschool teacher at Five Seasons Learning Centers from August 2001 to June 2006. Education credentials include a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling from Mount Mercy University and a Bachelor of Music Education with a focus on Music Therapy from Wartburg College.
