Polad Rustamov has over 15 years of work experience in the engineering industry. Polad most recently served as the Chief Technical Officer at TANAP Natural Gas Transmission Company since November 2019. Prior to that, they worked as the Project Director from February 2016 to October 2019 and as the Deputy Project Director from April 2015 to February 2016 at the same company. Before joining TANAP, Polad worked at BP as the Structural Integrity & Fabric Maintenance Team Leader from October 2012 to April 2015, where they were responsible for managing structural integrity and fabric maintenance activities. Polad also served as a Structural Engineer at BP from June 2004 to October 2012. Polad's earlier work experience includes a role as an Engineer at BTC Pipeline Construction in 2004.
Polad Rustamov obtained their BSc in Civil/Structural Engineering from the Middle East Technical University in 2003. Polad then pursued a Post Graduate degree in Engineering Management from The University of Manchester, completing it in 2015.
