Carlos A. Cano

Carlos A. Cano, CFA, FRM, CIPM, CQF, is a seasoned financial professional with extensive experience at Banco Central de Reserva del Perú, currently serving as Senior Team Lead for External Portfolios & Strategic Asset Allocation since June 2014. Responsibilities include designing strategic asset allocations and leading R&D projects. Previously, Carlos held roles as International Operations Project Manager, where Carlos A. oversaw the external asset management program, and as Investment Policy Senior Specialist, proposing investment policy guidelines. Additionally, Carlos is a lecturer for the Master in Banking and Finance at Escuela de Posgrado de la Universidad de Lima and has been teaching CFA and FRM courses at Tandem Finance since February 2016. Carlos holds an MBA in Asset Management and Investment Research from Cornell University, completed a Summer Program in Advanced Finance at the Central Reserve Bank of Peru, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Universidad de Lima.
