Gözde Şenel-Ayaz has a diverse work experience spanning from 2004 to 2022. From 2004 to 2005, they were an Intern at Coriell Institute for Medical Research, where they worked on adult tissue-derived stem cells, particularly focusing on Adipose Stromal Cells. Gözde then completed their Graduation Project at Sabancı Üniversitesi in 2005. In 2006, they began working at Drexel University as a Research Associate, Graduate Research Assistant, Teaching Assistant, and Graduate Student. In 2013, they were a Market Research Analyst at InfraScan, Inc. and an Intern at Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Southeastern Pennsylvania. Additionally, they were a Researcher at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing. In 2017, they co-founded and became President of Tandem Repeat. In 2022, they were accepted into the Graham & Walker Catalyst Program Batch 1, a two-week program designed to help women startup founders succeed in VC and get fundraise-ready.
Gözde Şenel-Ayaz obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biomedical Engineering from Drexel University in 2012. Prior to that, they earned a B.Sc. in Molecular Biology, Genetics and Bioengineering from Sabanci University in 2006.
