Makayla Campbell is a Mechanical Design Engineer at Tanner Research since March 2020, where development of mechanical components for Department of Defense Small Business Innovation Research contracts takes place, supporting projects from proposal to manufacturing. Previously, Makayla served as the Chassis/Ergonomics Engineer on the Anteater Racing Baja Team at UC Irvine, focusing on designing and testing an off-road vehicle for the SAE Baja competition. As an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at UC Irvine, Makayla mentored freshmen in hands-on engineering projects, including fabricating quadcopters. Additionally, Makayla was an Autonomous Systems Engineering Academy Undergraduate Instructor at Base 11, where the focus was on teaching methodologies for engineering courses to instructors. Makayla holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Design and a minor in Digital Arts from UC Irvine, completed in 2020.
