Stacy Apiyo

Stacy Apiyo has a diverse and extensive work experience. Stacy is currently the People Operations Lead at Tappi, a position they have held since January 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the People Operations Manager at Ajua from December 2020 to January 2023. In this role, Stacy was responsible for implementing the recruiting strategy and attracting candidates for both technical and business positions.

Before joining Ajua, Stacy worked at Kopo Kopo Inc from 2013 to 2020. Stacy held various roles during their time there, including Head of Human Resource Management, Human Resources Lead, Human Resources Assistant, and Merchant Operations Executive. As the Head of Human Resource Management, Stacy played a crucial role in rebuilding staff morale after a period of collective layoffs. Stacy also developed and administered human resource plans and procedures that resulted in a high retention rate of 98%.

Stacy Apiyo holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General from Kenya Methodist University. Stacy has also obtained certifications in Managing Anxiety in the Workplace and Managing a Multigenerational Workforce from LinkedIn, as well as a certification in Personality Tests Analysis from Deeper Signals, all in the year 2020.
