Peter Hart

Peter Hart is an experienced professional in the field of fiber technology and innovation, currently serving as Director at WestRock. Hart has held positions on the Board of Directors for the University of Maine Pulp and Paper Foundation since May 2014 and has been an Editor for the TAPPI Journal since 2000, including a term as Editor-in-Chief from 2014 to 2015. Hart also serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor at North Carolina State University. Previous roles include Director of Fiber Science at MeadWestvaco, where responsibilities included overseeing pulp and paper technology, and corporate engineer at Rigesa Celulose, where significant expansion projects were managed. Hart's educational background includes a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, as well as both MS and BS degrees in Chemical Engineering and Pulp & Paper Technology from the University of Maine.
