Karen Lund

Karen Lund is the Producing Artistic Director at Taproot Theatre. Karen was previously with the University of Washington, Taproot Theatre Company, and Dramatic Artists Agency.

Lund has been in the theatre industry for over 25 years. Karen started their career as a talent agent with City Kids / City Talent. Karen then co-founded the Dramatic Artists Agency, where they represented Union and Non-Union talent across the Pacific Northwest for work in television, film, voice-over, print, industrial, and modeling.

In 2014, Lund became the Board President of Theatre Puget Sound (TPS), a leadership and service organization founded in 1997 to advocate for the region’s theatre community. During their time with TPS, they participated in leadership work with the board, Executive Director, staff, and volunteers on programming, fundraising, board recruitment, and financial planning/management.

Lund has also served as a Contributing Editor for Drama Ministry Magazine.

Karen Lund attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in their Professional Actor Training Program.

Karen Lund reports to Kristen R. V. Thornton, Chair. They work with Dwight Hutton - Director, Finance & Operations, Mark Lund - Director, Production, and Gina Cavallo - Director, Development.
