John M. Ngunjiri, MS, Ph.D.

John M. Ngunjiri, MS, Ph.D has a diverse work experience in the field of research and bio process management. John M. is currently working as a Bio Process Manager at TARGAN Inc. since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at The Ohio State University as a Research Scientist from 2014 to 2022, where they collaborated with different scientists on various research topics related to viral infections, microbiome, and hosts. John M. also conducted research on functional and genetic heterogeneity viral quasispecies and in vitro screens for self-adjuvanted live-attenuated vaccine formulations. Before joining The Ohio State University, John worked as a Research Associate at the same institution from 2014 to 2019. Additionally, they have experience as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Connecticut from 2013 to 2014.

John M. Ngunjiri, MS, Ph.D. completed their education in the field of biology, with a focus on virology/cell biology. John M. obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from the University of Connecticut. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in biology/microbiology from the University of the Ryukyus. John M. began their educational journey by completing a Bachelor of Science (BS) in biology from the University of Nairobi.
