Saleh Sikofu took his first steps with Target SARL in March 2012. The firm recruited him at the time to participate in the moderation of a focus group in Swahili in Lubumbashi on behalf of a brewery. This first attempt will be a success. His background as a journalist in both audiovisual and written media allows him to slowly but effectively integrate the world of market research through Target.
Convinced of his skills, the firm then tested him on other projects, both quantitative and qualitative. It is in this context that he travels throughout the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo as Field Manager in quantitative studies, moderator or note taker in qualitative studies.
After traveling through Goma, Butembo, Beni, Bunia, Kisangani, Bukavu, Walungu, Panzi, Lubumbashi, Kasumbalesa, Kipushi, Kolwezi, his consulting colleagues gave him the friendly nickname of "Eastern specialist" at Target.
Market studies have also led Saleh to put his experience at Target to the benefit of clients based in the Republic of Congo and Burundi, in particular. In three years of collaboration, he was able to contribute to studies as diverse as those of financial inclusion with FINSCOPE, the media study with France Expertise Internationale (FEI), or studies commissioned by Unesco or Nielsen South Africa & Philip Morris International.
Since 2015, Saleh Sikofu has contributed to the writing of study reports for clients.
It was therefore without hesitation that the management of Target offered him a fixed-term collaboration contract, towards the end of August 2015, when a position of Research Specialist was left vacant.
