Jan Midtgaard

Jan Midtgaard has a wide range of work experience in the field of software engineering and academia. Jan is currently working as a Software Engineer at Tarides, where they lead an R&D team and focuses on compiler and language projects. Jan is also involved in property-based testing of the multicore OCaml compiler.

Jan also owns their own company called Tail Call Development, where they started in 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Software Developer at InCommodities, where they refactored and extended a large distributed trading platform using functional F# and .NET Core.

Finally, Jan Midtgaard completed their education at the BRICS International PhD School, University of Aarhus from 2002 to 2008, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Science.
