Richard Weymark, P.Eng., MBA has a diverse work experience in the mining industry. Richard currently serves as the Vice President of Engineering at Taseko Mines Limited since July 2021. Prior to their current role, they worked at Taseko Mines Limited as the Chief Engineer from July 2018 to June 2021.
Before joining Taseko Mines Limited, Richard held various positions at Teck Resources Limited. Richard was the Tailings Dam Construction Manager from February 2017 to June 2018. Prior to that, they served as the Continuous Improvement Lead from March 2015 to February 2017. Richard also has experience as a General Supervisor of Mine Operations from April 2013 to March 2015, Senior Shift Supervisor of Mine Operations from September 2011 to March 2013, and Shift Supervisor of Mine Operations from February 2009 to August 2011. Additionally, they worked as a Short Range Planner of Mine Engineering from September 2008 to January 2009 and as a Planning/Production Engineer from March 2008 to August 2008 at Teck Resources Limited.
Richard Weymark, P.Eng., MBA has a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Mining and Mineral Processing from The University of British Columbia, obtained between 2003 and 2008. Richard later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Queen's University between 2015 and 2017. Richard Weymark also obtained the professional designation of P.Eng. from Engineers and Geoscientists BC in November 2017.
