Miikka Niemelä

Miikka Niemelä has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Miikka most recently worked as an Organizational Coach at Taskmill starting in 2023. Prior to that, they were the Managing Partner & Co-founder at Orangit, where they played multiple roles including co-founder, software professional, and leader, contributing to the company's growth from 1 to 25 people and revenue from 0 to 2M€.

Before Orangit, Miikka worked at Siili Solutions as a Tribal Lead, Senior Consultant, and Agile Coach. Miikka also worked at Blaugrana Coaching as the Head of Coaching, Oy Samlink Ab as a Solution Consultant, TeliaSonera as an IT Solutions Manager, Tata Consultancy Services as a Solution Manager, Elisa as an Agile Coach, and Fifth Element Oy and Methics Oy as a Software Engineer.

Throughout their career, Miikka has achieved various accomplishments such as improving testing capabilities, enhancing business processes, removing impediments, and leading successful agile transformation projects.

Miikka Niemelä holds a Master of Science in Technology degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from the University of Oulu, which they obtained from 1999 to 2003. Miikka also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Helsinki, completed between 2004 and 2012. In addition, they pursued Open University Studies in Psychology at the University of Eastern Finland from 2013 to 2014. Miikka Niemelä completed their general education by achieving the Finnish Matriculation Examination at Raahen lukio from 1995 to 1998. Currently, Miikka Niemelä is undergoing executive education and professional development at Aalto University. As for certifications, Miikka Niemelä has various agile leadership certifications, including Certified Agile Leadership Essentials (CAL-E), Certified Agile Leadership for Orgs (CAL-O), and Certified Agile Leadership for Teams (CAL-T). Miikka is also certified as a Licensed Practitioner of NLP™ and has attained SAFe® 4 Certified Agilist and SAFe Agilist certifications.
