Eric Thanenthiran

Eric Thanenthiran has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Eric is currently working as the Head of Data Engineering at Tasman, a role they started in October 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Zoopla as a Senior Data Engineer from August 2021 to October 2022, and as a Data Engineer from June 2020 to August 2021.

Before joining Zoopla, Eric worked at E-PROP LIMITED as a Data Engineer and London Team Lead from April 2019 to June 2020. Eric was responsible for deploying and enhancing a cloud-based real-time data-streaming and analysis platform for the property sector, ensuring GDPR compliance and implementing privacy and security measures.

Eric's previous role at E-PROP LIMITED was as a Data Engineer/Analyst from May 2018 to June 2020, where they built a real-time, event-driven data platform for the PropTech market using serverless microservices hosted on AWS.

Prior to that, Eric worked at Solarcentury as a Data Analyst from April 2016 to April 2018. Eric was part of a small team that developed and deployed an automated monitoring, reporting, and analysis platform using technologies such as InfluxDB, MySQL databases, and Python.

Earlier in their career, Eric worked as a Project Manager at Werner Sobek Stuttgart from March 2013 to March 2016, and as a Project Engineer at Fontenergy from June 2012 to March 2013.

Eric also has experience in sales and marketing, having worked as a Sales and Marketing Executive at Sol.evo Ltd from June 2011 to May 2012. In this role, they launched a renewable product and managed its commercial development from prototype to market deployment.

Eric's early career includes roles such as an Associate at SBEO from 2010 to 2011, Sales Support at Quiet Revolution from 2009 to 2011, and Mechanical Consulting Engineer at Fulcrum Consulting from 2008 to 2009.

Eric Thanenthiran completed their Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Engineering degree at the University of Melbourne from 1998 to 2002. Their field of study encompassed Mechanical, Politics, and History. In November 2015, they obtained a certification as an Agile Project Manager - Practitioner from APMG International.
