Satish Bangara

Satish Bangara has a strong background in telecommunications and satellite communications, spanning over four decades. Satish has held positions in various companies, including Tata Communications, Reliance Communications, Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company, ICO Global Communications, Intelsat, and Eutelsat.

At Tata Communications, Bangara served as the VP of Enterprise Voice Business, where they focused on global voice solutions for Fortune 2000 companies and BPO, leading to triple-digit growth numbers. Satish also developed partnerships with multinational organizations to improve global collaboration and cost savings.

As President of Reliance Communications Inc. (US), Bangara created and implemented a business plan that expanded Reliance Industries into the US telecommunications market. Satish focused on wholesale voice/data services between India and major telecommunications carriers worldwide, as well as retail services targeting the resident Indian community in the US.

During their time at Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company, Bangara held two key roles. As Vice President of Ventures & Global Satellite Carrier Sales, they were responsible for managing joint ventures and reporting their performance in marketing, sales, finance, and new business activity. In their role as Vice President of Business Development, they generated $900M in satellite sales orders and initiated rural telephony joint ventures in Romania.

At ICO Global Communications, Bangara served as the Director of TT&C, Ground Segment and Satellite Operations. Satish was responsible for implementing and operating the Network Management Center and gateways for a global satellite cellular system. Satish also integrated the Business Operations System with the NMC and participated in negotiations for interconnect arrangements.

At Intelsat, Bangara held the position of Senior Adviser to the Vice President of Engineering. Satish provided technical input and support within the Engineering Directorate, coordinated technical issues with the Board of Governors and Technical Committees, and supported the Regional Marketing Office in sales and new product offerings.

In their early career, Bangara held positions at Eutelsat and Intelsat, where they focused on system verification, tests, and satellite evaluation and control.

Satish Bangara holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from The George Washington University. Prior to that, they obtained a master's degree in Electrical Engineering from The Catholic University of America. Additionally, Satish Bangara holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from the University of Madras.
