Chief Projects ( Generation ) at Tata Power

M S Rahman started their work experience in 2006 as the Head of Power Projects at Electrosteel Steels Ltd. M S then moved on to Maithon Power Limited (a joint venture between Tata Power & DVC) in 2007, where they served as the AGM until 2010. In 2011, they joined TATA Power as a DGM and later became the Chief Projects (Generation). M S also held the position of Head Projects (Generation) from June 2020 to June 2021.

M.S. Rahman has a diverse education history. M S first attended South Point High School from 1985 to 1987, where they completed their Higher Secondary education in the Science Stream. Afterwards, they pursued a Bachelor of Technology (B Tech Hons) in Engineering, specializing in Power Plants and Sustainability, at IIT Kharagpur from 1987 to 1991. In 1998, Rahman began their Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Structural Engineering at the National Institute of Technology Rourkela, which they completed in 2000. More recently, from 2018 to 2021, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from UPES.

In addition to their formal education, Rahman has obtained several certifications.
