Keenan Wells has worked in a variety of roles in the software engineering and development field since 2012. From 2012-2016, they were a High School Learning Center Teacher at Portland Public School District 1J, where they implemented learning interventions, integrated web applications, and employed standardized and research based evaluation to assess students skill development. From 2016-2017, they were a Junior Developer at HelloWorld Devs, where they built custom CMS apps and released an Android app integrating with a CMS backend. From 2017-2019, they were an Application Developer at Emerge Interactive, where they built iOS/Android apps, planned and implemented client AWS cloud architecture migrations, and managed client Google Cloud architecture. From 2019-2021, they were a Senior Software Engineer at Dexcom, where they designed and implemented a DSAR automation API, maintained and improved Kubernetes/Helm infrastructure, and assisted with migration of existing Kubernetes deployment tooling. Currently, they are a Software Engineer at Tatari, where they maintain API integrations, investigates and applies fixes to backend data access layers, and generates reports.
Keenan Wells began their educational journey in 2008 when they attended Western Washington University and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education and Teaching in 2012. In 2015, they attended Portland Code School and earned a Web Foundations degree in HTML5 CSS Git Github. Currently, they are attending Code Fellows and is working towards an Intermediate Software Development degree.
