Alexandre R Chequer

Alexandre R Chequer is a distinguished legal professional with extensive experience in the energy sector. Since December 2009, Alexandre has been with Mayer Brown, where currently serves as a Member of the Partnership Board, Global Head of Energy, Partner, and Co-Head of the Global Energy Industry Team and Global Head of Oil & Gas. In addition, Alexandre co-founded and serves as a Partner at Tauil & Chequer Advogados associado a Mayer Brown, focusing on areas such as Energy, Corporate and M&A, Private Equity & Venture Capital, and Infrastructure with a regional focus on Brazil, Africa, Angola, Mozambique, and a China Desk. Prior to this role, Alexandre co-founded and was a Partner at Tauil & Chequer Advogados from 2000 to 2009, further building expertise in similar areas of law. Alexandre holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro, obtained between 1992 and 1997.
