Guy Protheroe

Guy Protheroe is an experienced urban designer with a robust background in landscape architecture and project management. Currently employed at Tauranga City Council since March 2020, Protheroe previously held positions as a project manager in property development and worked as a consultant for the London Borough of Croydon, focusing on public realm projects. With a diverse portfolio, Protheroe has managed international mixed-use projects for Martha Schwartz Partners and served as a landscape coordinator for major projects in the Middle East with Austin Smith : Lord. Other notable roles include director of landscape architecture at Whitelaw Turkington, regional manager at Isthmus Group Limited, and senior landscape architect at EDAW, with early career experience in private practice. Protheroe holds a Diploma in Landscape Architecture from Lincoln University and a Bachelor in Town Planning from The University of Auckland.
