Simon S.

Simon S. has a long and varied work experience. Simon began in 2007 as a Freelance Developer for EGOSOFT. In 2009, they became a Research Assistant and Software Developer for the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics and Selforganization. In 2010, they were an Intern and Software Developer for the Center for Imaging Science at The Johns Hopkins University. In 2011, they were a Research Assistant and Software Developer for the University of Göttingen, as well as an Intern for Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft. In 2012, they were a Research Assistant and completed their Master's Thesis at the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics and Selforganization. From 2014 to 2018, they were a Postdoctoral Researcher and Doctoral Researcher at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne), where they developed high-performance numerical simulation code for 3D free surface flow problems. From 2018 to 2021, they were a Senior R&D Engineer and Senior Software Engineer at Pix4D. Simon is currently a Senior Software Engineer at Taurus SA.

Simon S. began their education in 2001, earning an Abitur (university entrance diploma) from Max Planck Gymnasium Göttingen in 2008. Simon then attended The University of Göttingen, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Physics in 2011, followed by a Master of Science in Physics in 2013, and a Master of Science in Computer Science in 2013. Finally, in 2014, Simon S. earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Physics from EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne).
