John van Tol

John Van Tol is a seasoned consultant specializing in soil and groundwater investigation, risk assessment, and remediation with over 18 years of experience at Tauw bv since December 2005. In the role of Consultant in the Business Unit Industry’s Soil & Groundwater Experts division, John has developed extensive expertise in investigating soil and groundwater contamination using diverse strategies, focusing on emerging contaminants such as PFAS. Prior experience includes freelance GIS consultancy for the Mugello Valley Archaeology Project and junior soil consultant roles at Milieudienst Zuidoost-Utrecht and CSO. John holds a Master's degree in Physical Geography from Utrecht University and an Atheneum diploma from Oranje Nassau College.
