Daniel Swain

Daniel Swain has a diverse work experience spanning from 2012 to the present. Daniel started their career at Princeton University, where they pursued a Ph.D. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering until 2012. After that, they joined Simpli.fi, where they worked as a Software Engineer, Lead Software Engineer, Senior Developer, and finally as an Engineering Fellow, with responsibilities such as managing the backend engineering team and handling real-time bidding systems. In 2018, they joined Pandora as a Senior Software Engineer, working on the Next Big Sound team and contributing to the development of data pipelines and products for music industry insights. Daniel later became a Staff Software Engineer at Pandora, leading a team that built Pandora Charts. Currently, they are the Founding Software Engineer at Tavoro, starting from November 2022.

Daniel Swain completed their education in a methodical manner, starting with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Penn State University in the years 1999 to 2003. Daniel then pursued higher education and obtained a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the same institution from 2003 to 2005. Continuing their academic journey, Daniel achieved a Ph.D. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University, concluding their studies between 2005 and 2012.
