Bora Dan

Bora Dan has a diverse work experience in design and development roles. Bora started their career in 2009 as an HTML Developer for Dogan Online DOL, where they gained knowledge in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. From 2012 to 2016, they worked as a Frontend Developer for several companies, including DOL, Markakod, Sabah, Ciceksepeti, and Hürriyet. During this time, they learned front-end technologies like AngularJS and ReactJS and became familiar with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.

In 2017, Bora transitioned to product design roles. Bora worked as a Product Designer for Tap Tap – Ücretsiz Online Sipariş Sistemi, a start-up, where they built design components from scratch. Bora then joined Kariyer.net, a leading job board company in Turkey, as a Product Designer.

In 2019, Bora became a Senior Product Designer and design system creator for Justlife, a Dubai-based startup. Bora closely collaborated with developers in this role. Bora continued their work in design system teams as a leader, first at Hepsiburada, a popular e-commerce platform in Turkey, from 2020 to 2022, and then at Omnia, where they focused on building a design system for the Abu Dhabi Government.

Currently, Bora is working as a Design Consultant at Tawkify since 2023.

Bora Dan began their education in 2004 at Sakarya University, where they pursued a degree in Machine Design until 2005. Following this, they attended Afyon Kocatepe University from 2009 to 2010, focusing on Computer Programming and obtaining a degree. In terms of additional certifications, in May 2014, they received a certification in Agile Management and Scrum from ACM. Later, in May 2018, they obtained a certification in Communication Skills from SUBMARINE - SBM Derin ve İleri Eğitim, Danışmanlık Koçluk Hizmetleri.
