Erik Sautter

Erik Sautter is a seasoned IT professional with extensive experience in software engineering and solutions architecture. Currently serving as a Senior Solutions Architect at TaxAct since November 2014, Erik specializes in architecting modern, cloud-based solutions utilizing AWS-based microservices, mobile technologies, and JAMstack. Prior to this, Erik worked as a Software Engineer at TaxAct, contributing to the development of award-winning tax preparation software across various platforms. Erik’s earlier roles include Sr. Software Engineer at Rockwell Collins, where involvement spanned all phases of satellite communications programs, and Web Application Developer at Cramer Development, maintaining a custom intranet site. Erik began a career foundation at Rockwell Collins in internships that focused on software coding for military applications and testing avionics systems. Erik holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Iowa State University, obtained in 2005.
