Rob Gettemy

Rob Gettemy has a diverse work experience spanning several companies. Rob started their career as Vice President at Parsons Technology and successor companies, where they worked from 1991 to 2001. Rob then served as Director of Service at McLeodUSA from 2000 to 2002 and later as Senior Vice President of Operations at Frank N. Magid Associates in 2002.

In 2003, Rob established The Gettemy Group of Companies, initially as a business brokerage firm and later expanding into areas such as accounts receivable factoring. Rob held the role of Owner at this company until 2010.

Rob joined TaxAct in 2012 as Chief Operating Officer and worked there until 2019. During their tenure, they also served as Executive Vice President at Blucora from 2015 to 2019.

In 2008, Rob joined the University of Iowa as a Faculty member in Entrepreneurship, a role which they currently hold.

Lastly, in 2022, Rob joined TaxSlayer in the role of Business Development and Partnerships.

Rob Gettemy holds an MBA degree from Drake University. Rob also obtained a BA in Economics from the University of Northern Iowa. Prior to their college education, Rob attended Waukee High School. Additionally, they have obtained a Marketplace Trainers Certificate from Marketplace® Simulations by Innovative Learning Solutions in October 2019.
