Christian Purcell

Christian Purcell has extensive work experience in the construction and civil engineering industry. Christian currently works at Taylor Woodrow as a Project Commercial Director. Prior to that, they held the same position at the same company from March 2021 to December 2021. From September 2019 to March 2021, they worked as a Contract Administrator at Taylor Woodrow. Christian also served as a Senior Commercial Manager at Taylor Woodrow from May 2017 to September 2019.

Before joining Taylor Woodrow, Christian worked as a Commercial Manager at J Murphy & Sons Limited from April 2004 to April 2017. Christian started their career as a Quantity Surveyor at JR Pridham Services Ltd from September 2003 to April 2004. Christian also has experience in the public sector, having worked as a Research Assistant at the Department for Transport from September 2002 to July 2003.

In addition to their professional experience, Christian embarked on an impressive personal challenge as an Explorer Cyclist, cycling around the globe from Reading to Beijing and from Los Angeles to New York. This experience allowed him to raise funds for Whizz kidz and interact with people from diverse cultures. Christian also had holiday placements at J Murphy & Sons Limited from September 1995 to June 2002, and started their professional journey as a Customer Service Assistant at Waitrose in September 1995.

Christian Purcell attended Abingdon School from 1990 to 1995. After completing their secondary education, they enrolled in the University of Hertfordshire from 1998 to 2002, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Law. Following their undergraduate studies, Christian pursued further education at the University College of Estate Management from 2009 to 2011. During this period, they completed the Graduate Development Programme in Surveying.

In addition to their formal education, Christian Purcell obtained several certifications. In 2012, they became an Elected Professional Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). Subsequently, in 2017, they achieved the certification of APC Assessor from RICS. Their latest certification, APC Assessor Chair, was obtained in September 2022 from RICS.
