Alex Barney, PT, DPT, OCS, Cert. MDT, initially became interested in physical therapy after suffering from an overuse running injury while training for cross country in high school. After months of frustration stemming from being unable to run without pain, he decided to attend physical therapy. He has been able to run pain-free ever since. After deciding to pursue a profession in physical therapy, he attended North Dakota State University for a Bachelor of Science degree. In 2016, he received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from the University of North Dakota. Alex’s passion lies in helping his patients return to enjoying the activities they love without pain, using evidence-based interventions including patient-specific exercise and manual therapy skills. He has a personal interest in working with patients with spinal dysfunction, including but not limited to headaches, TMJ pain, low back pain, and neck pain. Outside of working with patients he enjoys cycling, running, cheering on Minnesota’s athletic teams, and spending time with his family and friends, including his lovely wife, Brittney.
