Thomas B. Nelson

Mr. Nelson was hired in 2007 to expand TCW’s presence in the large plan defined contribution marketplace. In this capacity, Mr. Nelson works extensively with internal constituencies at TCW along with defined contribution plan sponsors, defined contribution consultants and defined contribution recordkeepers. Previously, Mr. Nelson was a Senior Vice President with IXIS Asset Management in the Institutional Solutions Group in Boston. Before that, he was a Senior National Accounts executive at Legg Mason and a Vice President at Scudder Investments in the Retirement Services division. Mr. Nelson received his BA in Political Science from Colby College. In addition, he holds Series 7 and 63 FINRA licenses. Mr. Nelson is fluent in French and Spanish.
