Mark Pearson has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Mark has held various roles in sports management, business development, and professional athletics. Mark is currently working as the Partnerships Development Director at Ottawa Sports and Entertainment Group (OSEG) since 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Manager of Major Events and Sport at Ottawa Tourism from 2022 to 2023. Mark also worked as a Business Development Specialist at the Canadian Olympic Committee from 2020 to 2022, where they exceeded revenue targets by 253%. Mark has a strong background in field hockey, having played as an athlete for Field Hockey Canada from 2005 to 2021, and as a professional athlete for Delhi Waveriders, Royal Racing Club de Bruxelles, and Der Club an der Alster. Mark also has experience in business development and project management roles at Sports Technology Group and TORQUE Strategies. Additionally, they have a coaching background, having worked with various field hockey clubs, camps, and High Performance programs.

Mark Pearson's education history begins with their completion of the Dogwood Diploma at South Delta Secondary School from 2000 to 2005. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in History from The University of British Columbia, which they completed between 2005 and 2013. Additionally, to further their knowledge in the field of sports management, they attended the Johan Cruyff Institute from 2014 to 2015 and obtained an International Masters of Sports Management degree. Mark also dedicated time to studying the German language at the Colon Language School from 2009 to 2011.
