Gene Martin

Gene Martin currently serves as President of Transmission Developers, Inc., a Blackstone portfolio company specializing in high-voltage direct current merchant transmission. With a wealth of experience in the energy sector, Gene previously held the position of Senior Vice President at AECOM, overseeing a diverse range of operations and significantly increasing revenues. As President of Energy Development Group, LLC, Gene successfully raised $126 million to launch a renewable energy operations business in Connecticut. Gene's leadership at EMCOR Group, Inc. resulted in the establishment of a profitable division serving global energy markets. Earlier roles include President & CEO of KeySpan Energy Management, where a billion-dollar regional energy business was developed, and Vice President & General Manager at UtiliCorp United, managing a substantial customer group and dramatically increasing operating income. Gene's career began at SCANA Corporation, where innovative marketing and customer service strategies contributed to significant revenue generation and demand reduction.
