Andrea Eide Azevedo has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Andrea began their career as a Volunteer at Cambridge School Volunteers, Inc. in 2000. Andrea then worked as a Special Education Paraprofessional at Cooperative Educational Services from 2002 to 2005. In 2005, they became a Mentor at the Department of Children and Families of Connecticut, where they stayed until 2007.
From 2007 to 2008, Andrea served as a Law Clerk at the Connecticut Office of the Attorney General. Andrea then worked as an Intern at Rubin & Eldrich, P.C. from May 2006 to October 2006. In 2009, they became an Associate Attorney at the Law Offices of Marshal D. Gibson, where they worked until 2010.
In 2010, Andrea joined Horizons National as a Growth & Expansion Manager, and in 2012, they were promoted to Director of Development. Andrea continued in that role until January 2014.
Starting from January 2014, Andrea's career shifted to the education sector. Andrea worked at Teach Plus as the National Director of Expansion & New Business until December 2015. Andrea then moved on to become the National Director of Talent & Strategic Initiatives at Teach Plus from January 2015 to October 2017.
In November 2017, Andrea took on a new role at Teach Plus as the Chief of Staff & Chief People Officer. Andrea held this position until March 2023, when they were again promoted to the role of Chief Operating Officer. Andrea currently serves in this senior leadership position at Teach Plus.
Andrea Eide Azevedo has completed a Bachelor of Arts (B.A) degree in English from Boston College. Additionally, they have pursued higher education at Quinnipiac University, first earning a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A) degree from the School of Business. Following that, they attended Quinnipiac University School of Law, where they obtained a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree.
