Nate Kidwell has extensive work experience in the field of software engineering and technology. Nate most recently worked at Teachable, starting in January 2020 as a Senior Software Engineer and then being promoted to Senior Software Engineer II in August 2020. Prior to Teachable, Nate worked at EPAM Systems as a Senior Software Engineer from February 2019 to December 2019. Nate also has experience as a CEO, having founded and led Yotty since October 2017. Nate's earlier experience includes working as a Firefighter for the New York City Fire Department from May 2003 to July 2016, and as the President/Owner of Ludicast, a consulting and development firm specializing in Rich Web Applications, from February 2005 to June 2016. Before that, Nate worked as a Programming Instructor at the Computer Career Institute from February 2001 to October 2003. Nate started their career as a Webmaster/Senior Systems Technician at The Chase Manhattan Bank in March 1999, where they were responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting workstations and servers, serving as a webmaster and working with financial applications.
Nate Kidwell has a Bachelor's degree in English with a minor in German from the University at Buffalo. Nate also has completed graduate work in Computer Science at Columbia University. Nate completed their secondary education at Stuyvesant High School. Before that, they attended The Storm King School. Nate has obtained several certifications, including Principles of Reactive Programming from Coursera in December 2013, Functional Programming Principles in Scala from Coursera in September 2012, Analytics in Python from edX in June 2017, and Supply Chain Analytics from MITx on edX in October 2016.
