Richard Hunt

Richard Hunt has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering and technology. Richard is currently working at Teachable as the VP of Engineering since April 2022. Prior to this role, they served as the Director of Engineering at Teachable from January 2021 to April 2022.

Before joining Teachable, Richard worked at CommonBond.co where they held various positions. Richard served as the VP of Engineering from June 2020 to January 2021, and as the Director of Engineering from January 2018 to June 2020. Richard also worked as an Engineering Manager from September 2016 to December 2017, and as an Engineer from November 2015 to August 2016.

Richard gained experience at BBC as a Technical Product Manager from March 2014 to July 2015. In this role, they were responsible for product infrastructure, stakeholders' needs, technical designs/decisions, and Scrum implementation.

Prior to BBC, Richard worked at Digital Science as the Lead QA Engineer from May 2013 to March 2014, at Paddy Power as a Software Engineer in Test from March 2012 to April 2013, at SQS as a Consultant from August 2010 to February 2012, at Oracle as a Software Engineer from June 2008 to June 2009, and at KONE as a Software Analyst from June 2006 to May 2008.

Richard Hunt obtained a BSc (Hons) degree in Computing and Information Technology from Queen's University Belfast in 2010. In the same year, they also obtained additional certifications including the ISTQB-ISEB Certified Tester Foundation Level from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, and the Licentiate Diploma in IT from City & Guilds. In 2015, Richard Hunt obtained the Certified Scrum Master certification from Scrum Alliance.
