Cynthia McMurry

Cynthia McMurry has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Cynthia currently holds the role of COO at TeachFX, a position they have been in since February 2021. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Strategic Initiatives at TeachFX from October 2020 to February 2021.

Before TeachFX, Cynthia was the Head of International Partnerships at Nova Credit from January 2018 to October 2020. Cynthia also gained experience in the development sector as a Summer Consultant at Dalberg Global Development Advisors in August 2016 and as a Summer Consultant at The Boston Consulting Group in June 2016.

Cynthia's earlier work experience includes various roles at Kiva.org, where they worked from 2008 to 2015. Cynthia served as the Regional Director for Latin America & Caribbean from March 2012 to June 2015, as well as in other positions such as Portfolio Manager and Field Support Specialist.

In addition to their roles in the development sector, Cynthia began their career as a News Intern at WBUR in 2006. Cynthia also worked as a Writer and Interim Editor at The Santiago Times during the same period.

Cynthia McMurry completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and Spanish at Tufts University in the years 2004 to 2008. Additionally, they pursued their education at Stanford University Graduate School of Business from 2015 to 2017. During their time at Stanford, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Master of Science in Environment and Resources (MS). In 2006 to 2007, Cynthia also attended Universidad de Chile, although the specific degree and field of study are unknown.
