Benjamin Roux has extensive experience in the tech industry. Benjamin began their career in 2011 as an Apple Software Engineer Intern. In 2012, they held a role as a Student/Researcher at LRDE, the research and development laboratory of the school. Benjamin also worked as a Teaching Assistant at École pour l'Informatique et les Techniques Avancées. In 2014, they co-founded GOLF42, a company that attempted to disrupt the golf market. As the lead engineer, their role spanned a variety of tasks including writing computer vision software, programming micro-controllers, and writing a 3D engine. In 2016, they returned to Apple as a Software Engineer. In 2019, they co-founded Koala (YC W22) and currently serves as the CTO.
Benjamin Roux attended Lycée Edouard Herriot from 2006 to 2009, where they earned a Baccalauréat Scientifique in Science. From 2009 to 2014, they attended EPITA: Ecole d'Ingénieurs en Informatique, where they earned a Master's degree in Computer Science. In 2010 and 2011, they participated in an International Exchange program at Tampere University of Technology 1965-2018, studying Computer Science, Maths and Software Engineering. Benjamin also attended Technology University of Tampere (TUT) to study American and French; Computer Science; Tampere, Finland, Mathematics and Computer Science.
