Lead Network Engineer at TeAM

Steven Vines has held various positions in the IT industry since 2008. From 2008 to 2016, they served as a Network Administrator and Senior LAN Manager for the U.S. Army. During this time, they managed, configured, installed, and maintained Cisco and Brocade/Foundry series routers and switches throughout Japan. Additionally, they utilized Remedy ticketing service application to fix network related issues that users were having. Steven was also in charge of managing users accounts through active directory, joining computers to the domain, imaging computers, and ensuring that machines received vulnerability updates. In 2016, they joined Global Linking Solutions as a Layer 1 Troubleshooting Technician, where they used Meraki Dashboard application to update firmware, ensure correct network topology, conduct throughput testing, test connectivity by sending ICMP packets, and restarting the cisco device. Steven also utilized Central Management Console ticketing system to get site's information, contact site, troubleshoot issue, annotate steps taken to resolve issue, then close ticket. In 2018, Steven joined Viasat Inc. as a Network Operations Center, where they had a strong understanding of networking, internet and UNIX systems administration, as well as satellite communications working with VSAT. Steven also used Salesforce ticketing services to annotate terminal's commissioning, decommissioning, plan changes, and any hub related issues globally. Additionally, they were proficient in using Procera PacketLogic platform for traffic management, and utilized SolarWinds, Network Management System (NMS), Tivoli, and Splunk to troubleshoot network issues and outages. Later in 2018, they joined Lowe's Companies, Inc. as an IT Consultant, where they managed user's VPN accounts through RSA by issuing and distributing tokens, importing user tokens, and troubleshooting any issues that may arise regarding their VPN account. Steven also utilized Remedy ticketing system to annotate steps taken to resolve or escalate issues, and manage user's accounts as well as both Apple and Android devices through AirWatch web application. In 2021, Steven joined Huntington Ingalls Industries, Inc. as a Network Operation Center Technician II. Currently, they are a Lead Network Engineer at Technology, Automation, and Management (TeAM), Inc.

Steven Vines has a Bachelor's degree in Cyber and Network Security major and Cloud Computing from ECPI University, which they obtained in 2018. Prior to that, they received an Associate of Science with a concentration in Network Security from ECPI University in 2016. Steven also holds several certifications, including CompTIA Security+ (2021), Windows 7 CE (2011), A Plus (2018), Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching (2017), Network Plus CE (2013), and Security Plus (2012).
