Gene Ledbetter

Gene Ledbetter has a diverse work experience with roles in data engineering, data science, business intelligence, IT support, and law enforcement. In their most recent role as a Data Engineer at Team Cymru, they focus on data management and analysis. Prior to that, they worked as a Data Scientist at AEM Corporation, where they built a cloud-based data lake and designed interactive reports for transportation departments. Before that, at Dell Technologies, they served as a Data Intelligence Engineer, where they developed data pipelines, performed predictive analysis, and improved runtime of critical code. Additionally, they have experience as an IT Support Technician at Xactware and as a Police Officer at Salt Lake City Police Department. Gene started their career as an Account Manager at Doba, where they provided consulting services and resolved technical issues for clients.

Gene Ledbetter earned a Bachelor's Degree in Acting from Brigham Young University, where they studied from 2004 to 2010. Afterwards, they pursued a Master's Degree in Data Science at Southern Methodist University from 2015 to 2017. Gene also obtained additional certifications, including EMCDS - Data Scientist from EMC in August 2015, and CISSP from (ISC)² in May 2018.
