Cathy Williams

Cathy Williams is an accomplished media and communications professional currently serving as the Head of Media - Kitting Out for Team GB since January 2024, a secondment position from Commonwealth Games Wales. With extensive experience in the sports sector, Williams has held the position of Head of Communications, Media & Engagement at Commonwealth Games Wales since June 2016, where responsibilities have included managing communications for major events such as the Commonwealth Youth Games in Trinbago 2023 and Birmingham 2022. Previously, Williams acted as Games Manager for various Commonwealth Games events, including Gold Coast 2018. Earlier in their career, Williams was a Broadcast Journalist for prominent networks including the BBC and ITV Wales from September 2003 to June 2016, offering bilingual coverage of significant sporting events and programs.
