Phil Southerland

Phil Southerland is the CEO & Founder of Supersapiens, a company aimed at empowering athletes with a new energy management system. Phil is also the CEO & Co-Founder of Team Novo Nordisk, the world's first all-diabetic professional cycling team, and serves as the Volunteer President and Founder of Team Type 1, advocating for equal access to medication and education for people affected by Type 1 diabetes. Southerland is also the author of "Not Dead Yet: My Race Against Disease from Diagnosis to Dominance." In addition, Phil has managerial experience in the field of diabetes and served as the Director of Health Care Planning, Policy, and Patient Advocacy at the World Health Organization.
