Terry Harvey has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Starting in 1983, Terry worked as a Swim Coach and Aquatics Facility Manager at Sun Swim School. Terry then joined the Los Angeles County Fire Department in 1984, where they held positions as an Ocean Lifeguard and later as a Rescue Boats operator. In 2000, Terry became a Training Coordinator and later a Captain within the same department. Following their time in the fire department, Terry worked as an Aquatics, Open Ocean Safety, Public Safety Expert at Robson Forensic, Inc. Terry then founded and served as the CEO of Public Safety 6X, providing consulting services in EMS, Ocean Safety, Public Safety, Security, Rescue, and Yacht Charter. Terry also had experience as an Actor, with roles in commercials, TV, film, and water safety coordination. Most recently, Terry worked at Team Rubicon in multiple roles, including Deputy Director of Operational Training and Deputy Director / People Operations. Throughout their career, Terry has demonstrated expertise in training and development, program management, policy implementation, and fostering positive work environments.
Terry Harvey attended California State University, Long Beach from 1984 to 1987, where they studied Liberal Arts Communications. In 1983 to 1984, they attended El Camino College and obtained a degree in Emergency Medical Technician 1A with a field of study in Fire Science. Terry also holds various certifications, including ICS Train The Trainer L-449 from FEMA in 2017, Emergency Medical Technician 1A from Los Angeles County in 2017, and Advanced Public Information Officer from the California Specialized Training Institute in 2016.
