Karlton Akins

Karlton Akins has a work experience spanning over 20 years. Karlton started their career at Oakland Community Health Network in 2006 as a Support Specialist, where they were responsible for managing social media communications and facilitating communication with the community and elected officials. In 2014, they transitioned to the role of Communications & Community Outreach Coordinator, spearheading communications and community outreach campaigns, handling media relations efforts, and preparing speeches for executives and board members. Since 2018, they have been working as the Executive Director of Public Relations at TEAM WELLNESS CENTER, where they lead communications planning, directs all corporate communications, coordinates strategic communications to various stakeholders, and manages crisis communications.

Karlton Akins received an Associate of Arts degree in Business Administration from Wayne County Community College District, which was completed from 2015 to 2018.
