Jon Luers

Jon Luers has a diverse work experience spanning several decades. Jon started their career as a Computer Science Research Lab Assistant at Northwestern University in 1981. Jon then worked as a Software Engineer at AT&T Teletype Corporation from 1983 to 1992. Following this, they joined Lucent Bell Labs as a Member of Technical Staff from 1996 to 1999. In 1990, they also worked as an MTS at Memorex Telex. From 1999 onwards, they transitioned to Technical Support/Development roles, working at ADVIZOR Solutions, Pursuant, and Allegiance Group. In 2022, they ran for Illinois State Senate from the 10th District as a write-in candidate. Since 2023, they have been working as a Consultant at Intuitive Engineering.

Jon Luers has an educational background in both computer science and electrical and electronics engineering. Jon obtained their Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (BSEE) from Northwestern University, where they attended from 1977 to 1981. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from Northwestern University, attending from 1981 to 1983.
