Wael Yared

Wael Yared has extensive experience in the field of technology and innovation leadership. Wael is currently working at Tecan as the Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, overseeing global R&D and innovation across multiple sites and countries. Wael'srole involves leading multi-disciplinary teams in various areas such as robotics, software development, imaging, and reagent development, with a focus on life sciences and in vitro diagnostics. Wael is responsible for defining technology strategy, managing the R&D portfolio, and shaping the company's roadmap.

Prior to Tecan, Wael Yared worked at BioAnalytix as the Vice President of Corporate Development and Chief Technology Officer. Here, they led the company's bioinformatics solutions and advanced data analysis platforms, as well as developed a proprietary predictive analytic engine for biotherapeutic development.

Wael Yared also held leadership positions at Perkin Elmer, where they served as the Vice President of R&D for Life Sciences & Technology. In this role, they led multiple sites and teams, overseeing various areas such as imaging, screening, detection, microfluidics, automation, reagents, and software development. Wael also played key roles in major M&A and business development initiatives.
