Lionel Darcy

Lionel Darcy has extensive work experience in various project management roles within the technology industry. Lionel started their career as a Senior Software Engineer at SAFRAN - SAGEM DEFENSE in 1997 and later became a Quality Assurance Quality Control Manager, where they successfully improved the software testing process. In 2004, they took on the role of Project Manager & Scrum Master, leading a team of developers and implementing Agile project management practices. Under their leadership, a successful software factory was established with reduced costs and improved release predictability.

In 2009, Lionel joined IDEMIA Identity & Security Abu Dhabi Branch as a Project Manager, overseeing multiple biometric and identity-related IT projects in the Middle East. Lionel later became the Head of Project Management, managing a team of project managers and implementing corporate rules and policies to enhance project reporting and communication. Lionel also played a crucial role in the successful ISO 9001 certification process.

Lionel's role expanded in 2013 when they became a Program Manager and Bid Manager, responsible for managing tenders and preparing technical and financial proposals for the Middle East region. Lionel demonstrated strong strategic planning skills and collaborated with field experts to define solutions and risks. Additionally, they handled contract negotiations and pricing structures to ensure profitability.

In their most recent role at Tech5.ai, starting in 2022, Lionel holds the position of Director pre and post sales for the MEA region, where they are responsible for driving sales and overseeing customer relationships.

Lionel Darcy obtained a Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence from Pierre and Marie Curie University between the years 1988 and 1989.
