Peter Clifton is a senior strategic and operational technology executive with extensive business building experience across industries including Healthcare, SaaS, Technology, B2B, Information Services, Media, Publishing & Education. Peter is a collaborative partner with a successful track record working with startup and mature company management teams, boards, venture, public and private owners to drive growth and create shareholder value. Blending leadership skills acquired over 30+ years of business experience, three (3) technology startups, multiple $100M+ company turnarounds and growth stage ventures, Peter draws on many years of Technology, Operations, Financial, Legal, Strategy, Sales, Licensing, and Team building experience to drive stakeholder value.
As a TechCXO Partner in the firm’s Executive Operations practice, Peter is most frequently called on by Boards, investors and senior management teams to assist clients as an interim and/or fractional COO, CTO.
Peter is adept at leading technology-centric companies through various stages including startup, growth acceleration, restructure, and mature business turnarounds. His expertise includes tech strategy, product and platform design, implementation, security, rescues, ecommerce, strategic planning, operational leadership, financial analysis and modeling, project leadership, complex contract negotiations, licensing, market-mapping, sales team development, large account commercial relationship building and international business development to deliver innovation and profitability. Peter is also experienced in logistics, wholesale, distribution and supply chain optimization. He has extensive experience raising capital and supporting M&A transactions as well as post-acquisition integrations.
In the Healthcare industry, Peter has worked extensively in collaboration with executive leaders in both acute and post-acute care organizations to develop innovative technology solutions designed to eliminate cost, waste, and improve quality and process improvement (QAPI), regulatory compliance, and care delivery. He has led the design, build-out and implementation of successful SaaS services, data solutions and systems integrations in support of organizational goals including transitioning to value-based care.

CEO at ReadyPoint Inc., where he led a turnaround and buyout from Martin Ventures, and then repositioned the company as a technology service provider to healthcare organizations providing SaaS platform and applications development, data and system integrations, mobile apps, cloud solutions, application rescues, AI, machine learning and security solutions.
President & CEO of multiple Ingram Content Group companies, Peter had P&L responsibility for five (5) operating groups generating $600M+ of revenues. He led multiple turnarounds resulting in significant increases in revenue and net profits.
CEO at BookFool /Textbook Army, a higher education technology company, he led a re-build of the company’s integrated order processing and pricing system, an operational and financial restructure and integration with third party logistics and raised two (2) rounds of financing, and a successful sale of the company.
CEO & Founder at FiledBy, where he led two (2) rounds of venture financing and built/deployed the first ever SaaS based creator-centric author registry linking book buyers, authors, and creators together for ecommerce and SEO optimized online marketing.
CEO & Founder at PubEasy, he led the capitalization, technology development and deployment of this global B2B ecommerce company through to successful acquisition and exit. The company is currently owned by Germany MVB.
Earlier in his career, Peter served in various roles leading the acquisition, creation and sales of interactive and animated game and media products based on branded intellectual property. He was Vice President, Business Development and Licensing at SEGA of America / SEGASOFT, and prior was Vice President, New Media Development at NewsCorp / HarperCollins. He was also Director, New Media Development at John Wiley & Sons.
