Yash Patel is an experienced peer advisor and researcher with a strong background in neuroscience and psychology. Since May 2021, Yash has served as an Integrative Neuroscience and Psychology Peer Advisor at Binghamton University, advising over 500 students and leading the Undergraduate Research Panel. Yash has conducted significant research on the effects of chronic ethanol exposure and pain on serotonin levels using rodent models. Additionally, Yash holds leadership positions in the American Medical Student Association, manages youth coaching for Techie Youth, coordinates campaigns for Hindi's Libraries, and has provided instruction in physics and biology at Binghamton University. Yash's prior experience includes an internship at Weill Cornell Medicine focused on COVID-19 education and an IT internship at Schneps Media. Currently pursuing a Doctor of Medicine degree at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine, Yash has a Bachelor’s degree in Integrative Neuroscience from Binghamton University.
