Chris McIntosh is an accomplished researcher and academic with a focus on the intersection of artificial intelligence and medicine. Currently serving as a Faculty Affiliate at Vector Institute and an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto, Chris has also held the position of Scientist at the University Health Network since January 2012. With extensive experience in AI applications such as transfer learning, meta learning, and computer vision, Chris's work aims to enhance patient care through advanced techniques, including deep learning for automated diagnosis and treatment planning. Additionally, Chris has contributed to education as a sessional instructor for a course in image understanding at the University of Toronto. Chris earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science from Simon Fraser University, where a Bachelor’s degree in the same field was also completed.
