Mr. Ted Herring has 53 years of experience in senior-level project management of Naval aircraft and space systems engineering design/analysis teams. As Director of Engineering for the Maryland office, Mr. Herring is responsible for the management and supervision of TDA’s work on the Structural Appraisal of Fatigue Effects (SAFE) program for the US Navy. This includes engineering investigations related to systems-level specifications, structural design development and structural technology research to determine alternative systems, air vehicle performance, and materials R&D assessments. He is also responsible for all program controls, management procedures, and administrative requirements.
Mr. Herring has conducted analyses and studies in aerodynamics, aircraft performance, and flight dynamics and propulsion integration for lighter-than-air Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) surveillance platforms. He has 20 years of experience as a US Navy operational and research pilot, and has accumulated 6,000 flight hours in 15 different Navy and Air Force aircraft.
