Minos Garofalakis

Minos Garofalakis is an accomplished academic and research professional with extensive experience in information management systems and computer engineering. Currently serving as the Director of the Information Management Systems Institute at the "Athena" Research and Innovation Center and a Professor at the Technical University of Crete, Garofalakis also holds leadership positions in various institutes, including Chair of the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering and Director of the Software Technology and Network Applications Laboratory. Additional roles include Co-Founder and Director of Research at Agora Labs, and former Consulting Senior Principal Scientist at Amazon Web Services. Garofalakis has a strong academic background with an MSc and PhD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, complemented by a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Engineering and Informatics from the University of Patras.
