Michael Lionais has extensive work experience in various leadership roles within the Canadian government and the accounting profession. Michael is currently serving as the Managing Director for Technomics Canada, where they oversee the expansion of the US-based firm into Canada. In this role, they are responsible for developing bids, liaising with clients, and leading cost estimating and schedule planning projects. Prior to this, Lionais worked as a Strategic Advisor for the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada, where they played a key role in shaping the future of the accounting profession in the digital economy. Michael has also held executive positions at the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat and Public Safety Canada, where they provided financial policy advice, managed financial systems, and produced various financial reports for the departments.
Michael Lionais has a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Business/Commerce, General from the Royal Military College of Canada. Michael also holds a Diploma in Management Accounting from St. Mary's University. Additionally, they obtained a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation from CPA Ontario. Furthermore, they completed a Graduate Certificate in Public Sector Leadership and Governance with a field of study in Public Administration from the University of Ottawa.
